26th January 2025 Celebrating Academic Excellence: Graduation Ceremony of the 9th Batch at VIOR VIOR Chennai celebrated the graduation of its 9th batch of B.Optom students on 26th January 2025, continuing its tradition of honoring academic achievements. The ceremony was graced by Dr. R. Krishnakumar as the chief guest. This special occasion not only recognized the hard work and perseverance of the graduates but also inspired them to contribute meaningfully to the evolving field of optometry.

01st September 2024 OATN OPTINT 2024 We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the students and faculty of VIOR who contributed to the success of the OATN OPTINT 2024 conference, themed "Current Scapes and Future Scopes of Optometry - It's Time to Learn, Unlearn, Relearn." We are proud to announce that Balaji and Michael received the Best Poster Award in the student category, while Karthik received the Best Poster Award in the general category. 23rd September 2023 VIOR Chennai Students and Faculty at the 4th IVI International Optometry Conference Students and faculty from the Vasan Institute of Ophthalmology and Research (VIOR) in Chennai, India, recently attended the 4th IVI International Optometry Conference. The conference was held on September 21-23, 2023, and featured talks by some of the leading experts in the field of optometry. 20th August 2023 VIOR Faculty Elected President of OATN Congratulations to Preetha Ramprasat, Professor of Optometry at VIOR, who has been elected as the President of the Tamil Nadu Optometry Association, OATN. In her new role as President of the OATN, Preetha will be responsible for leading the association's efforts to promote eye health and vision care in Tamil Nadu. She will also work to advocate for the profession of optometry and its members.

18th July 2023 VIOR Alumna Wins Prestigious Award at Anglia Ruskin University Congratulations to VIOR Chennai Alumna Rathna Bharathi Seetharaman, pursuing PhD in Vision Science at Anglia Ruskin University, for winning the Best Illustrated Abstract award in their Faculty of Science & Engineering Conference 2023. She is an inspiration to all of our students, and we are proud to call her a VIOR alumna.

21st June 2023 International Day of Yoga International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 every year.The day aims to raise awareness about the many benefits of yoga, which include physical and mental health, stress relief, and improved flexibility. The theme for International Yoga Day 2023 is "Yoga for Humanity." VIOR students had a yoga session led by a certified yoga instructor.
