Dr. Madhavan Jagadeesan is an ophthalmologist, geneticist, molecular biologist and a genetic counselor. After completing his ophthalmology training from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology , he finished his doctoral programme sub-specializing in genetics and molecular biology from Vision Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya. He finished his fellowship in ocular genetics from Canada. He has performed various basic research works in single gene, complex degenerative diseases and cancers. His work has been published in various international journals.
