VIOR Industrial Visit: Exploring Precision Manufacturing at Hoya Lens
VIOR students and faculty members visited the spectacle lens manufacturing facility at Hoya Lens Private Limited in Irungattukottai. During the visit, students observed the intricate processes involved in crafting high-quality precision lenses, from advanced surfacing techniques to specialized coatings. This industrial exposure bridged the gap between classroom theory and real-world optical manufacturing, providing our future optometrists with a deeper understanding of the technology behind the vision correction tools they will prescribe.
